Forsterker E39-murstøtte
Statens vegvesen is carrying out enhancements to the natural stone wall along E39 Paradisstranden, expected to continue for 5-6 weeks. The project involves dismantling parts of the existing bulging wall, mass replacement, and constructing a new wall to maintain road safety and ensure the road remains passable in the future.
Nattarbeid og omkjøringsruter
Due to the complexity of the operations, which are primarily conducted between 07:00 and 22:00, some nighttime work may be necessary. For safety reasons, as contractors undertake this task, the road will be narrowed to one lane, and alternative routes - rv. 580 Flyplassveien or fv. 557 Knappetunnelen - are recommended for traffic diversion. The average daily traffic on Paradisstranden is 38,972 vehicles, of which 9% constitutes heavy traffic.
Omkjøringer for fotgjengere/syklister
The construction also affects pedestrians and cyclists, resulting in the temporary closure of footpaths and cycle lanes. Statens vegvesen suggests the alternative routes of Allebakken and Ny-Paradis to accommodate these road users and extends apologies for any inconvenience caused. The project is communicated as a necessary inconvenience to ensure the structural integrity and safety of the road infrastructure.
