The renewal of the Waldenburg railway between Liestal and Waldenburg encompasses major upgrades, including the addition of double-track sections, reconstruction and new construction of stops, total renovation of the Waldenburg terminus, and construction of a new workshop. The project also includes a gauge change to one metre and the installation of a new safety layer across the entire line. Implenia Schweiz AG has been commissioned to execute Lot 6.1 in Niederdorf.

Elvutvidelser og brobygging

Specific project tasks include the widening and sinking of the Vordere Frenke river for flood protection, requiring adjustments along Dorfgasse with new retaining walls. The existing sewer line in the Gritt area will be rerouted for 400 meters. Moreover, the Niederdorf stop will be relocated alongside the Vordere Frenke, necessitating the demolition and reconstruction of the Holdenweg bridge. Additionally, two new footbridges, Hirschlang and school footbridge, will be constructed over the Vordere Frenke.

The project's services include earthworks, pipeline and road construction, bridge demolition, special civil engineering works such as pile driving and bored piles, and the construction of retaining walls and artificial structures. The project involves significant challenges such as meeting tight deadlines, managing complex logistics, working under traffic, and complying with multiple safety and environmental requirements.

To enhance sustainability, uncontaminated excavated material (type A) is processed and reused on-site, which saves approximately 85% of landfill volume and reduces truck trips. This method significantly mitigates the environmental impact of the construction.

1.6 km og 72 mCHF prosjekt

The project covers a total length of 1.6 kilometers, involving extensive soil removal, excavation, and demolition tasks. With an overall construction volume valued at 72 million CHF, the project started in October 2020 and is projected for completion by June 2023. BLT Baselland Transport AG Infrastruktur is the building owner, and IG Lampenstein c/o Aegerter & Bosshardt AG is handling the general management.
