Eksternt lederskap med erfaring
In Oslo's billion-project Ny Vannforsyning Oslo (NVO), the city is working on building a new water supply system. The project leadership consists of eleven members, with seven being external hires with backgrounds from Follobanen and Bane NOR. Two leaders have established their own companies and have won consulting agreements potentially worth NOK 56.5 million until 2028.
19.5 km råvannstunnel under bygging
An initial sub-project within NVO includes the construction of a 19.5 kilometer raw water tunnel extending from Holsfjorden to Huseby in Oslo. The water supply system will not only ensure an alternative source to the Maridalsvannet but also an underground water treatment plant, operational building, access tunnels, and new water supply tunnels (main network). The tunnel construction technique used is similar to that of the 20-kilometer-long Blixtunnelen in the Follobanen project, involving two Tunnel Boring Machines (TBMs) and reinforcement with concrete segments.
Kostnadsramme på 12.5 mrd NOK
The NVO project has a cost framework of NOK 12.5 billion and aims for completion in 2028. Despite the extensive use of external resources for the project management, officials assert all appointments adhere to stringent selection criteria, and the acquired expertise, especially from the Follobanen project, is critical due to the TBM technique used. The high consulting fees reflect the market rates, and contracts are estimated based on the eight-year duration of the project.
