Modernisering av elnett i Oljonsbyn
Omexom in Sweden, along with its partners Ellevio and NKT, is undertaking a project to modernize the local electricity supply network near Oljonsbyn, Sweden. The initial scope involves replacing the overhead line system with an underground network to make it less vulnerable to weather conditions and ensure a reliable electricity supply for residences and businesses in the area. Omexom is responsible for the planning, ground, and excavation work, as well as commissioning the completed electrical installation for this turnkey contract.
Redusere CO2-utslipp med elmaskiner
The project has evolved from a routine contract into an ambitious initiative focusing on sustainability and minimizing environmental impact. Several concrete measures have been implemented to achieve this, including using electrical excavators and fuel from biological sources, which collectively reduce CO2 emissions by 80 to 90%. Additionally, the project employs a fully electric fleet, leading to a 95% reduction in direct emissions from vehicle use. The sieving, sorting, and reusing of excavated materials on-site further reduce transportation needs and diesel consumption.
Fremme biologisk mangfold
Promotion of biodiversity is another key component of this project. Local stakeholders, including county and town council representatives, have been invited to collaborate on initiatives to enhance biodiversity in the area. Planned measures include building stone cairns and sandbanks, enclosing transformer substations to promote lichen growth, and repurposing old power poles to host bee hotels and nesting platforms for owls and other birds. These initiatives aim to maintain and improve local biodiversity, promoting a more sustainable environment.
