33 000 m² moderne kontorarealer
COWI is undertaking a comprehensive renovation and expansion of its head office located near Lyngby Station, north of Copenhagen. The project involves refurbishing and reusing existing buildings owned by pension fund Velliv, including adding extensions and covered areas based on the existing structural framework to create a total of 33,000 m² of office space. This upgrade will modernize the facilities, providing state-of-the-art workspaces for approximately 1,800 employees currently based at the location.
Fokus på bærekraft og gjenbruk
A key focus of the project is sustainability, emphasizing renovation, material reuse, and energy optimization rather than new construction. By conserving heavy load-bearing structures and incorporating refurbishment techniques, COWI aims to reduce environmental impact and natural resource consumption. The architectural design, developed in collaboration with Arkitema and Velliv, reflects innovative approaches to transformation and material recycling to create a future-proof and climate-friendly office building.
Investering med mål om 2028
The project represents a significant investment by COWI and its partners, highlighting their commitment to sustainable construction solutions. It also capitalizes on the excellent transport links and proximity to the Technical University of Denmark, enhancing the workplace environment. Completion of the head office renovation and expansion is planned for 2028, aligning with COWI’s vision of leading sustainable construction and providing optimal facilities for its employees.
