The Luzerner Pensionskasse (Lucerne Pension Fund) constructed the new HWW 'Living Science' student accommodation building on the ETH Hönggerberg campus in partnership with Losinger Marazzi AG. The building aims to provide high-quality residential facilities for students, enhancing the learning and living environment on campus.

Implenia played a critical role in producing the prefabricated wall elements for this hybrid building. The wall elements included a pre-mounted façade made of pressure-treated silver fir and extruded aluminum trim elements, highlighting the project's emphasis on precision and modern materials. The actual installation of these elements was carried out by a separate firm, ensuring specialized management of different construction phases.

One of the primary challenges faced during the project was achieving precision tolerances in the façade prefabrication. This level of precision was crucial to ensure a seamless installation and high-quality finish, reflecting the advanced construction techniques employed.

The project commenced in January 2015 and was completed by April 2016. The general management was handled by Losinger Marazzi AG, with Stücheli Architekten serving as the architect. The project adhered to Minergie and Minergie P ECO standards, underscoring its commitment to environmental sustainability.

The total construction volume for Implenia's services was valued at approximately 2.26 million CHF. This financial figure has been converted into other major currencies for broader comprehension, reflecting the significant investment made towards enhancing student housing on ETH Hönggerberg campus.
