Kontrakt på 209 MNOK signert

Veidekke has signed a total contract worth SEK 209 million to serve as the general contractor for the second phase of OBOS's residential development located in Ekerö municipality outside Stockholm. This contract follows the first phase of the Träkvista project, which is already underway, and represents a continuation of the larger master plan for the area. The agreement enables Veidekke to strengthen its local organizational presence and improve construction methodologies by leveraging experience gained from the initial phase.

The second phase involves constructing 77 new apartments and 10 terraced houses in the scenic Träkvista area by Lake Mälaren. These residential units are designed with inspiration from the surrounding nature and are named after apple varieties, such as Aroma and Bolero. The overall development is part of a new zoning plan for Träkvista torg, which also includes other building types like a nursing home, service buildings, and a new town square, aiming to create a vibrant and multifaceted community.

The construction of BRF Bolero is planned with a strong focus on quality and continuous improvement of work processes. Veidekke emphasizes building a robust onsite organization over time to ensure high standards. Importantly, the buildings in this phase will be certified under the Nordic Swan Ecolabel (Svanemerket), guaranteeing adherence to strict environmental and quality standards that promote sustainable and eco-friendly building practices.

The project is scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of 2027, fitting within Veidekke’s third-quarter order backlog. This timeline supports a long-term development strategy that prioritizes quality, cost-efficiency, and sustainability in a desirable residential area. By integrating environmentally certified construction methods and thoughtful urban planning, the development is poised to contribute positively to society, enhancing local housing options while supporting community infrastructure.
