Kontrakt til Lesja Bulldozerlag

Lesja Bulldozerlag AS has been awarded the contract for preparatory excavations for the new tunnel between Indreeide and Korsmyra. They are tasked with the removal of loose material and creating initial cuts (forskjeringane) leading to the tunnel entrance.

Sikring mot snøskred

The project consists of constructing a 4.8 km long mountain tunnel along the county road fv. 63 located between Indreeide in Norddal municipality and Korsmyra in Stranda municipality. The purpose of the tunnel is to protect this section of the road against frequent snow avalanches, noted by the 13 registered snow avalanche points on this stretch.

Statens vegvesen leder an

The Norwegian Public Roads Administration, Statens vegvesen, is facilitating the tunnel construction on behalf of Møre og Romsdal county municipality. They have signed a contract worth 12.7 million Norwegian kroner (plus VAT) with Lesja Bulldozerlag AS for the first phase of the project which involves preparing the tunnel portals. This initial phase is scheduled to start in the turn of January/February and be completed within the year, while the main tunnel construction is set to commence in the autumn of 2019 and the project is expected to be finished by the autumn of 2022.
