Sirkulær fasadekonstruksjon
The Harvestad project in Linköping, Sweden, involves the construction of concrete façade walls incorporating reclaimed bricks, exemplifying circular construction practices. UPB delivers full-service solutions for both frame and facade structures for this project, working closely with client ED Bygg Sverige AB.
Løsninger for gjenbrukte murstein
Using reclaimed bricks poses challenges such as variations in shape, size, color, and the presence of residual mortar and visible wear. UPB’s team applied its expertise to address these complexities, offering non-standard manufacturing solutions to successfully integrate the materials into the façade design.
20% CO₂-reduksjon i fasade
The building's façade also utilizes low-carbon precast concrete elements, contributing to a 20% reduction in overall CO₂ emissions. Early optimization of brick layout helped minimize material waste while maintaining the intended aesthetic quality of the walls.
Fabrikkmonterte vinduer effektiviserer
To enhance construction efficiency, wood-aluminium windows were pre-installed at UPB's precast concrete factory. This allowed for immediate sealing of each floor following element installation, streamlining the building process and ensuring tight construction sequencing.
