Renovering av busstasjonen
The project involved a comprehensive renovation of the bus station at the Reichenbach train station and significant work on the nearby cantonal road. Key elements included redesigning the bus square with new main and side platforms, car and bicycle parking, a new ramp to the railroad platform, and a concrete slab for a bicycle shelter and vending machine.
Veiarbeid og asfaltering
The cantonal road was straightened, a pedestrian crossing relocated, and sidewalks widened. Additionally, the existing road surface was replaced with a low-noise asphalt layer over 500 meters. The construction work was carried out in seven different phases, including the demolition of old pavement, relocation of drainage pipes, and installation of new electrical lines.
Tilgjengelighet og trafikksystemer
The new infrastructure prioritized accessibility, with special curbs on the bus platform and a new cast-in-place concrete staircase. The project also included removing the existing pedestrian island, adapting the drainage system, laying asphalt reinforcement nets where necessary, and ensuring smooth traffic flow throughout the construction period with temporary road closures and traffic services.
Effektiv håndtering av utfordringer
Challenges were addressed efficiently, particularly the need to maintain uninterrupted rail and bus services. Earthworks, road construction, pipeline, and sewer construction were all part of the detailed services provided by Implenia as the sole contractor.
Prosjektutførelse og kostnader
The construction, managed by LP Ingenieure AG, was completed between November 2019 and June 2020. The project cost 635,000 CHF and was executed with active coordination with BLS Netz AG and the Tiefbauamt des Kantons Bern, ensuring that the ambitious goals were achieved within the stipulated timeline.
