Boligkompleks på tidl. industriside
Le Train Bleu is a residential complex erected on a former industrial and commercial site spanning 3,487 square metres in Geneva. It plays a vital role in upgrading the site and integrating it into the local urban fabric, which is currently undergoing restructuring and development. The architectural design was influenced by local conditions, featuring bedrooms facing the street and living rooms oriented towards an inner courtyard to maximize sunlight and minimize noise. Exceptionally, rooms at the corner of Rue Ferrier and Rue Rothschild offer views of the lake.
FHP studentboliger og minergie
Situated in the inner courtyard, a small four-storey building manages this part of the site spatially by shaping, sizing, and positioning itself to both limit and open up the space. This building houses the FHP student residence and includes six maisonette flats on the upper floors, accessible via a bridge system at the rear. The architectural decisions were driven by logical and rigorous considerations, integrating technical solutions essential for Minergie compliance and economic constraints to maintain the budget. The project achieved high energy standards and functional solutions through a multidisciplinary team's collaborative efforts.
