Leröy Seafood bygger i Kungälv
Veidekke's subsidiary, BRA (Billström, Riemer, Andersson), has been contracted by Hagkroken Fastighets AB to build a new fish and seafood distribution center for Leröy Seafood AB in Kungälv, Bohuslän. The contract, a total enterprise worth SEK 115 million, marks a significant development for Leröy in Sweden, representing an advancement in their business and a move towards greater environmental efficiency.
Stor sjømatdistribusjonssenter
The new seafood center, encompassing a ground area of 6,500 square meters, is set to be one of the largest of its kind in the region. Scheduled for completion in April 2022, the center’s construction began with a groundbreaking ceremony attended by representatives from Leröy Seafood, Kungälv municipality, and BRA. The project's summer commencement will involve groundwork, followed by the casting of the base plate and the assembly of the building frame in fall and winter. Once complete, the interior will house large areas for seafood portioning and packaging, while the exterior, adhering to Leröy’s blue and white colors, will feature expansive parking and green spaces.
Miljøfokus: Sølvsertifisert bygg
The Leröy project is environmentally driven, aiming for a 'silver' level certification from the Swedish Miljöbyggnad, which sets standards for material handling, energy use, ventilation systems, and more. It includes features such as solar energy utilization for cooling storage areas. The project is vital for Kungälv and has a tight timeline for creating a custom-built facility tailored to Leröy Seafood’s operations.
