Veidekke has entered into a contract with the property developer FREY Group to construct the second phase of Malmö Designer Village, which is set to become Scandinavia's largest outlet for fashion and lifestyle brands. This new phase has a contract value of approximately SEK 315 million and is part of a larger assignment for Veidekke valued at around SEK 530 million in total. Veidekke brings extensive local expertise and experience in building and construction, contributing to maintaining quality and ensuring project progress. The contract is included in Veidekke's order backlog for the fourth quarter of 2025.
26 000 m² med fasiliteter
The project entails constructing 26,000 square meters of new buildings, including common areas, parking facilities, complementary buildings, and site preparation. Malmö Designer Village will accommodate over 130 international and Scandinavian brands, offering a diverse range of retail options within an attractive outdoor shopping environment. In addition to retail spaces, the development includes amenities such as a Street Food market, cafés, restaurants, playgrounds, and landscaped gardens, all designed to create a unique and engaging customer experience.
BREEAM Excellent bærekraftsmål
Malmö Designer Village Phase 2 aims to achieve BREEAM Excellent certification, reflecting a strong commitment to sustainability throughout the design, construction, and operational phases. This ambition highlights the project's focus on using environmentally friendly solutions and sustainable materials, setting a new standard for environmental performance in retail developments. The emphasis on sustainability also complements the branding and customer experience of the outlet village.
