Utvikling av Route de Berne-tunnelen

The Métro Lausanne, M2 Lot 1700 project focused on constructing the Route de Berne Tunnel between the Sallaz and Fourmi stations. The project scope included the development of Sallaz station with an open-air section and the fully underground Fourmi station, including its interior and access shafts. This was part of the larger Ouchy-Epalinges metro line which spans 6 km with 14 stops, 9 tunnels, and 5 bridges.

For tunnel excavation, a machine with point attack was utilized, complemented by umbrella vault and horizontal jet-grouting techniques to consolidate the excavation profile and stabilize the attack front. These engineering measures were vital to address the project's complexity and ensure the safety and stability of the construction.

The project commenced in March 2004 and was successfully completed by April 2007, with a construction volume valued at 52 million CHF.
