48 Units, 70 Parking Spaces

The Feuerthalen Facade and Balcony Project involved the construction of the facades with insulation, as well as the floor gratings on the balconies for three multi-family houses (MFH) with 36 rental apartments and two MFH with 12 condominiums. Additionally, the project included the development of an underground parking facility with 70 parking spaces.

CNC-Milled Substructure for Facades

Implenia Holzbau handled the facade including the insulation and the installation of floor gratings on the balconies. Significant challenges were overcome, such as the need for round corners on the facade formwork. This was achieved through a CNC milled substructure, which required the entire facade to be drawn in 3D to generate machine data, thereby saving time during onsite assembly.

Efficient Installation with Large Elements

Floor gratings were delivered and installed as large elements, further aiding in efficiency. The project commenced in January 2019 and was completed by January 2021.

Key Stakeholders and Costs

Key stakeholders included Fortimo Invest AG as the building owner, Architekten AG as the architect, and Gruner Wepf AG as the project designer. The total construction volume of services provided by Implenia Holzbau amounted to approximately CHF 900,000.
