Oppgradering av metrosignaler
The project involves upgrading the signalling systems and replacing the driverless trains on Copenhagen's M1 and M2 metro lines, which have been operational for two decades as the city's first driverless underground transportation system. The advisory team for this initiative comprises COWI, WSP, Egis, and subconsultants such as Strides, Nordic Signal, and Implement, working together to manage the replacement while the metro continues to run.
Moderne tog og sømløs overgang
This upgrade aims to provide passengers with modern trains and an efficient, reliable service far into the future. The consortium leverages extensive experience from similar metro systems in cities like Singapore, Lyon, Lille, and Paris to ensure a seamless transition without disrupting the passenger experience. The project maintains the metro's position as a benchmark for a safe and attractive driverless public transit system.
Globalt viktig metroprosjekt
Strategically, the project is globally significant as it positions Copenhagen alongside other major cities undertaking similar transitions to modern driverless metro operations. It serves as a notable reference for future upgrades in mass transit systems worldwide, highlighting COWI’s and its partners' expertise in supporting urban infrastructure developments toward faster and safer public transportation.
Samarbeid sikrer stabil drift
The collaboration between Metroselskabet, COWI, WSP, and Egis emphasizes delivering a consistent and dependable service throughout the upgrade process. The project is a technical challenge that will enhance the metro network's core infrastructure, ensuring continued mobility for increasing numbers of passengers and reinforcing Copenhagen’s leadership in innovative public transit solutions.
