Harmonisk nabolagsplan

The Permanent Mission of Singapore in Geneva is part of a larger local neighbourhood plan that includes a residential building. This development was both planned and constructed by the same team of planners and the general contractor. The structure aims to create a harmonious relationship with the existing environment, aligning well with the local transport network and green surroundings while maintaining privacy and views for residents.

Prestisjefylt diplomatsbygg

The design of the building suits its prestigious diplomatic status, featuring elongated lines and a rectangular floor plan. The building's reduced mass is underscored by a flat roof with a prominent cornice and two lines of openings, enhancing its elongated appearance. A modular grid on the façades allows for easy interior space division and customization. The building features a gross floor area of 3,059 m² spread over two floors plus a ground floor and a basement, on a 2,223 m² plot.

Totalt bygningsvolum 11,239 m³

Located in the Châtelaine district of Geneva, the project includes a total building volume of 11,239 m³ SIA. It is divided into office spaces covering 2,398 m², which also include a porter's lodge, and a 661 m² car park that accommodates eighteen vehicles, with an additional nine outdoor parking spaces. The design employed elegant and classic materials, such as natural stone for the façades, reminiscent of traditional Geneva buildings. Internally, the central core of services and vertical distributions ensures generous common areas and ample natural light.

Fleksibel byggeprosess, 2006-2008

The construction process was highly dynamic, with ongoing modifications based on detailed and complex specifications from the client. This required significant flexibility and responsiveness from the construction team. The project began in June 2006 and was completed in June 2008, with architectural services provided by De Giuli & Portier Architectes SA along with collaborators Jean-Claude Portier and Fabienne Füssler.
