The Pont Rouge Lot B1 project entails the construction of a complex for SBB Real Estate, comprising three towers ranging from 13 to 15 floors, dedicated to offices and shops, and spanning a total area of 47,365 m². Additionally, the project includes the creation of an extensive underground parking facility with 353 spaces distributed over three basement levels occupying the entire plot surface.

Implenia Special Foundation managed the construction of the three basement levels, incorporating a diaphragm wall supported by active anchors and tubular shoring. This work was conducted in a highly urbanized environment, specifically near an operational 15-storey tower and adjacent to active SBB railway tracks and TPG tramway tracks. The foundation work consisted of installing 15,000 m² of diaphragm wall with varying depths between 18 to 25 meters and secant piles of 450 m² diameter 1000 mm and 22 m deep.

The project's foundation relied on the installation of 8,800 meters of full displacement piles with a 400 mm diameter, and the supporting structure included 3,000 meters of active anchors and two levels of tubular shoring of various diameters, totaling 1,400 tons. The proximate location of ongoing rail operations, an operational SBB tower, and concurrent demolition of old site buildings posed significant challenges throughout the construction process.

Emphasizing sustainability, part of the excavated land was evacuated by train. This approach minimized environmental impact and optimized resource management. The complex's construction began in August 2015 and reached completion in February 2017. The project was led by CFF Immobilier as the building owner, with Implenia Suisse SA serving as both the contracting entity and project designer, and Pont 12 Architecte SA providing architectural services.
