The Sablon-Nord District Administrative Complex is strategically located close to Morges town center and the SBB train station. The project operates under an ordinance legalized in 1989, allowing for the establishment of administrative, craft, and commercial premises within the area.

The building is designed to be open to the city and lake to the south, while being closed off to the rear to mitigate inconveniences from road and rail traffic. The building's layout is organized in a regular grid, allowing for flexible floor layouts and meeting organizational needs. A generous urban square highlights the prestigious facade and main entrance, with access provided by staircases and elevators at the rear.

The building spans six floors with a total gross floor area of 5,453 m2, featuring simple geometry and clear lines. It includes a ground floor used for reception and different themed floors for various geographic regions. The building's structure consists of a rectangular form, 30,685 cubic meters in volume, founded on piles with an oversized floor slab due to groundwater proximity. Two underground levels provide 69 garage spaces, with an additional 29 parking spaces above ground.

Service requirements took into account the building's location near the freeway and SBB line. Despite complex technical equipment, floor areas are designed for flexible and adaptable room layouts. The building was completed between June 2005 and June 2007, with architectural design by Philippe Torriani Architecte EPFL-SIA and contributions from several other architects.
