Nye skolebygg i Spånga
Arcona, a subsidiary of Veidekke, has been awarded a contract by SISAB (Skolfastigheter i Stockholm AB) to erect two new school buildings and refurbish the current Sundbyskolan facilities in Spånga, outside Stockholm. The project, which is a performance contract worth approximately SEK 145 million, is set to commence in April and is expected to continue until December 2023.
Oppgradering for 1200 studenter
Sundbyskolan, constructed in the 1950s, requires a renovation to meet today's standards and needs. The school's capacity will be increased from 821 to 1200 students. New buildings will be provided for preschool to third grade and seventh to ninth grade, with modifications to existing structures. An expansion and renovation of the canteen and large kitchen is also planned to accommodate more students, along with the demolition of two pavilions. Compliance with the Miljöbyggnad Silver environmental standard is expected for the new buildings. Because the school will remain operational during the construction period, special attention is being given to logistics, working environment, and consideration for third parties.
Samarbeid styrker Stockholmskolen
SISAB and the Education Department eagerly anticipate the project's realization, acknowledging the joint responsibility towards the children and the city of Stockholm. Existing partnerships between Arcona, SISAB, and the Education Department, evident in projects such as the construction of Skanskvarnsskolan in Årsta, renovation of Vasa Reals gymnasium in Odenplan, the recently completed Framtidens förskola Blågull in Hässelby, and the comprehensive renovation of Östra Reals gymnasium, highlight the collaborative effort. The contract has been included in the order book for the first quarter of 2021.
