Vibrant Hub in Copenhagen

The Multifunctional complex, known as Carlsberg Byen, is located in the heart of Copenhagen, Denmark. This extensive project, covering a total area of 80,000 square meters, involves converting the former Carlsberg brewery into a vibrant hub of educational institutions, scientific organizations, residential spaces, as well as administrative and commercial buildings. The long-term vision aims to develop a total of 567,000 square meters in the area over the next 15 to 20 years.

Advanced UCC Campus Facilities

The UCC Campus Carlsberg is strategically located around 3 km west of Copenhagen's city center, featuring cutting-edge auditoriums and facilities tailored for small workshops and advanced digital solutions. The campus comprises two seven-storey buildings, interconnected by roofed bridges. These buildings house conference rooms and lecture halls, ensuring all conference-related activities occur within a compact area. This design promotes a dynamic and accessible environment for all participants.

KG's Facade Development

KG Constructions Group played a critical role in the development of the UCC Campus Carlsberg by completing the facades of the primary building, known as Karréen. The facade work covered over 10,000 square meters, including 9621 m2 of unitised curtain walls made of thermoprofiles, 6844 m2 of AWS75.SI windows, and 644 m2 of FW50.SI facade systems. This initiative was completed in collaboration with NCC Construction Danmark A/S as the main contractor and Mikkelsen Arkitekter A/S and Rubow Arkitekter A/S as the architects.

Historic Site Transformation

The project, completed in 2015, marked a significant milestone in transforming the historical brewery site into a multifunctional urban area. This transformation not only enhanced the aesthetic and functional aspects of the buildings but also contributed to the broader vision of revitalizing the entire Carlsberg Byen area.
