UEFA Campus Conceptualized

The administrative building in Bois-Bougy is now part of the new UEFA campus, a project conceptualized by former President Michel Platini to promote a healthy football image through respect and established rules in sports, social, or economic contexts. Encompassing an environmental awareness, the architectural design fundamentally embodies this ideal.

Building Integrated with Park

The building's positioning maintains a subtle connection with the Clairière building, adopting the site's natural slope and integrating outdoor spaces with patios. The architecture adheres to the park's compositional rules, focusing on topography, vegetation, and paths. The new building orients all work areas towards the park, allowing the park to visually penetrate the interior space.

2008 Competition for Space

An architectural competition in 2008 addressed the inadequate administrative space at the UEFA headquarters by proposing two service buildings north of the cantonal road for a unified UEFA campus. This project aims to centralize activities for better coordination and management of sports events while fortifying the identity of the sports federation. Located at Nyon's entrance, the new facility shares the aesthetically rich park with the Clairière building.

Concrete Unifies Architecture

The construction utilizes concrete's static and expressive properties to consolidate the architectural expression of the earlier buildings, creating a coherent architectural entity with analogous variations. The total building volume is 32,000 m³.

Construction Timeline and Architects

The project is located on Route de Suisse in Nyon, Switzerland. Construction began in June 2011 and completed in June 2012, with BASSICARELLA ARCHITECTES from Genève serving as the architects.
