Forbedret veikonstruksjon
The Worbstrasse project comprised the rehabilitation and extension of the road between the junction with Allmendingenweg and the end of the village. A multipurpose lane was added to facilitate turning, and the sidewalk on the Siloah side was shifted slightly southward. To improve the infrastructure, the foundation layer in the area of the new sidewalk and road was renewed or supplemented, and all edge trims and manhole covers were replaced. The resurfacing was done over the entire roadway and sidewalk, and the construction was carried out in multiple stages to manage traffic conditions.
Hevet plattform for tilgjengelighet
One of the significant aspects of the project was the elevation of the platform at the RBS Siloah station to ensure disabled access in the direction of Worb. To avoid disruption to the train schedule, this work was executed at night. The construction services detailed in this project included road construction, pavement construction, earthworks, sewer construction, utility lines installation, and in-situ concrete construction.
Utfordringer med arbeidsforhold
Key challenges in the project included working under tight space conditions and heavy traffic, adherence to schedules, execution in several stages, and coordination between preparatory work and pavement installation. There was also a necessity for night work to complete the platform construction.
