100m Trebygg i Winterthur
The 'Rocket & Tigerli' project is a significant development in Winterthur, comprising one of the tallest timber residential buildings planned to date. The 'Rocket' building will stand at 100 meters with 32 floors, featuring both rental apartments and hotel rooms. Accompanying the Rocket are three 'Tigerli' buildings that will also house rental apartments, completing the urban ensemble.
Implenia og Ina Invest
Developed by Implenia on behalf of Ina Invest, this project is an integral part of the Lokstadt site development. The design is led by Schmidt Hammer Lassen Architects of Copenhagen and Cometti Truffer Hodel Architects from Lucerne, in collaboration with ETH Zurich and the civil engineering firm WaltGalmarini. The construction employs a modern timber and hybrid construction approach, featuring a newly developed timber composite flat ceiling, which minimizes the use of high-performance materials in favor of wood.
26000 m² Bærekraftsfokus
The project spans a usable area of approximately 26,000 square meters and is noteworthy for its strong emphasis on sustainability. Utilizing the natural properties of wood, the building is expected to emit up to 50% less greenhouse gases during construction compared to traditional materials. Key sustainability features include a photovoltaic system, a district heating connection, and compliance with SIA energy efficiency standards and SNBS Gold certification for both Rocket and Tigerli.
Byggestart 2025, Ferdig 2028
Construction is planned to begin in September 2025, with an expected completion date in December 2028. This project is set to establish new benchmarks for sustainable living with its environmentally friendly construction methods and energy-efficient features, contributing positively to the urban landscape of Winterthur.
