The Ballongflygaren project, located in Solna, Stockholm, involves the construction of distinctive building facades featuring diverse brick alignments. The use of extruded bricks adds depth to the facade, and various brick patterns contribute to a unique architectural character, aiming to fulfill the design's aesthetic ambitions.
Fullskala fasademockup i Latvia
The project is a collaboration between multiple stakeholders, including the client AF Bygg Stockholm, the developer Skandia Fastigheter, and their design partners, Act Management. To ensure quality and architectural precision, UPB hosted these collaborators at their precast production facility in Liepaja, Latvia, where a 4.7-meter-high full-scale mock-up of the facade was presented. This allowed all parties to examine details such as the different brick patterns, corners, seams, and transitions closely.
Presis prefabrikasjon av fasade
The manufacturing process primarily focuses on producing precast concrete elements that replicate the unique brick patterns specified in the architectural design. This approach ensures consistent quality and precise execution of the complex facade features. The project demonstrates a meticulous process where design aspirations meet production capabilities to achieve a distinctive and visually striking final product.
