The Quartier Boverattes-Est project in Pully addresses the need for suitable local housing, prompting a significant residential development initiative. Ferrari Architectes won first prize with the Linea project and was commissioned to design and realize six buildings comprising 123 flats and a kindergarten. The development is situated on a 15,000 square metre plot, formerly used for winegrowing, which required soil treatment after contamination with copper was found.

The design of the project is adapted to the natural terrain, featuring six buildings staggered across three levels to follow the slope towards the lake. This approach allows for terraced construction, which includes two meeting rooms and promotes outdoor activity with varied facilities for people with disabilities. Central esplanades, playgrounds, and green zones with tree planting make up the active and communal spaces of the development.

Energi Effektiv Med Minergie

Sustainability and energy efficiency are key features of the Quartier Boverattes-Est project. The buildings are constructed with reinforced concrete structures, perimeter insulation, and meet the Minergie label criteria. The use of photovoltaic modules on flat roofs, triple glazing, and heat recovery ventilation systems further enhance the energy efficiency of the complex. The first residents moved in a year and a half after the foundation stone was laid in March 2019, and the project was successfully completed in June 2020.

Revitaliserer Terrassekulturen

This initiative by the municipality of Pully not only provides modern and energy-efficient housing but also revitalizes the town’s tradition of terraces reminiscent of its winegrowing history. Several hundred tenants now enjoy a privileged living environment in this lakeside town, benefiting from the thoughtful and sustainable design of the Quartier Boverattes-Est residential neighborhood.
