65 enheter i Basel
Schorenstadt is a flagship project by Implenia in collaboration with Burckhardt + Partner AG, designed to meet the 2000-Watt Society standards. Located in Basel, this development comprises 65 units, including terraced houses and apartments arranged in three rows of buildings. Each of the terraced homes features basements, two additional floors, and an attic story with a large rooftop deck, providing private outdoor spaces and abundant natural light through open-plan interiors.
Bærekraftig hybridkonstruksjon
The construction methods in Schorenstadt are diverse and modern, incorporating hybrid construction with concrete ceilings and columns, composite construction with concrete-reinforced cross-laminated timber (CLT) panel ceilings, and classical wood framing. The use of sustainable wood as the primary structural material significantly reduces lifecycle costs compared to traditional materials like concrete and steel, due to its lower energy requirements for production and disposal.
Minergie-P-Eco standard
Schorenstadt meets the strict Minergie-P-Eco standard, focusing on minimizing the energy required for material production, building operation, and transportation related to the project's central location. Its proximity to public transport enhances its mobility energy score. The development also ensures minimal operating energy greenhouse gas emissions with a wood-fired power plant from Industrielle Werke Basel supplying heating and hot water. This eco-friendly approach, combined with its aesthetic and comfortable design, showcases that sustainable construction and high living standards can coexist harmoniously.
8,8 mCHF prosjektverdi
This project, amounting to 8.8 million CHF in construction value, involves 1,700 m³ of timber, 20,000 m² of element surfaces, and 5,000 m² of façade. It has proven, after two years of operation, to contribute significantly to ecological stewardship without compromising on comfort and aesthetics. The successful completion of Schorenstadt underlines the potential of sustainability-focused urban development in meeting ambitious energy efficiency targets.
